CEO Jason Appelbaum presenting in the semi-finals

Last week was a big one for us: after a week of showcasing what EverCharge has to offer at San Francisco's Launch Festival, we were asked to compete in 1776's Challenge Cup in the Transportation & Cities category.

The Challenge Cup is an annual global competition that invites for-profit start-ups to present their solutions for solving some of the world's biggest challenges. The competition is broken up into four categories (Energy & Sustainability, Education, Health, and Transportation & Cities) and takes place in 16 cities across the world. In every city, one company from each category advances to the finals in DC.

After a day of working with 1776 judges and mentors, our CEO Jason Appelbaum's one-minute pitch on why EverCharge is the only solution for scalable EV charging growth in multi-tenant buildings, we moved on to the final round, where we had the pleasure of competing against the very cool (and very fun to ride) Faraday Bicycles in the Transportation & Cities category.

After eight five-minute presentations from each of the semi-finalists (two competitors in each category), EverCharge was selected as one of four companies to advance to the finals in DC this May.

The Finalists, advancing to DC

We're excited and honored to move forward in the competition, and can't wait to keep bringing fully-managed, accessible, and scalable electric vehicle charging to more and more buildings, this year and beyond.
